For 20 years, Saeed has
been trying to marry homely pastry chef Niloo, but his father has
used one ploy after another to block the marriage. Not helping is
the long-standing feud between the families. Just as it appears
that both families have finally softened, fistfights break out at
the ceremony itself, and the wedding is postponed once again. This
hilarious Iranian farce about marriage customs and social conventions
is the third film directed by Iraj Tahmasb, a recognized master
of children's puppet theater as well as an actor and filmmaker. |
